Telluride Trappings & Toggery is Telluride's longest standing retail store since 1972, carrying apparel, shoes and accessories for men, women and children, as well as housewares. Founders, Terry Tice and Susan Gulick lived in the back of the store and started their enterprise under the assumption that even cowboys and hippy ski bums needed a place to buy clothes. The shop quickly earned the reputation as being a cool, affordable, sensible place to shop. Now owned and operated by Wendy Basham and Todd Tice, the Toggery has expanded its repertoire to accommodate Telluride’s larger and more sophisticated clientele, featuring popular lines like Lucky Brand, Michael Stars, Tommy Bahama, Frye and Free People; and offering mens, womens, and kids clothing, housewares, shoes and accessories. The spacious boutique still resides in its original location, right downtown on main street, still upholds the same reputation, and continues to offer a substantial selection of  high quality, unique and functional clothing.
