High Camp Hut

Built by the Farny family and friends, the High Camp Hut is a cabin in the back country of the San Juan Mountains, near Telluride, CO. The cabin sits on the edge of a high alpine meadow with views of Sheep Mountain and San Miguel Peak, and distant views of Wilson, Mt. Wilson, El Diente and Lizard Head Peak.

Historic Sheridan Opera House

Today this 240 seat intimate theater, listed in the National Register of Historic Places, is home to the Sheridan Arts Foundation and has become a non-profit venue benefiting a number of charitable organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club of America. Some of today's top performers from Dudley Moore and Carol Burnett to Patrick Stewart and Frederica von Stade have performed at the Sheridan Opera House to benefit the Foundation and its educational programs. Since 1999, the historic Sheridan Opera House has been home to the SAF Young People's Theater, a diverse and flourishing center for young thespians, enrolling more than 200 children between the ages of 2 and 18 each year.

In 1990 Paul Finley and Lisa Foxwell created the Many Ponies Outfit after nine years of a nomadic lifestyle working on Guest Ranches. Paul enjoys roping events, and Lisa enjoys Ranch Horse Versatility as well as Dressage. They enjoy teaching people partnership with horses and useful riding techniques; sharing and exploring new elements of horsemanship; and riding in beautiful country with genuine people.

Michael D. Palm Theatre

Located on the Telluride School District campus, the Palm Theatre is a state of the art, 30,000 square foot performing arts facility containing 650 comfortable seats with excellent sight lines to the Johnson stage from every location.  The Palm Theatre is a venue for the Telluride Film Festival, Mountain Film, Telluride Jazz Celebration, Telluride Chamber Music Festival, as well as numerous other community events and performances including dance, theatre, and music.

Nottingham Lake & Cabin

The Log Cabin on Nottingham Lake servers as the central headquarters for Avon’s summer and winter activities in Nottingham Park. During the summer there are paddle boats that can be used on the lake along with athletic sports equipment to use around the park such as soccer balls, frisbees, and croquet sets. During the winter months, the ice rinks are open for ice skating.

Nugget Theatre

The Nugget Theatre features current popular movies, with a wide range of films for family and films for adults. It is a spot example of combining historic Telluride buildings with modern recreation. This building was designed by James Murdoch, a prominent Colorado architect whose work includes St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and other Denver landmarks.
